Existence of GOD!!!

After a long time I am trying to write again, after being prompted by closed ones to do so. But this time through blogging, I am trying to initiate a thought process rather than limiting to my point of view or ideas. I was wondering that what can be the most appropriate topic to begin with. A topic which is a cause of discontent among many, but still is without a conclusion -" EXISTENCE OF GOD!!"

Before I start writing, I would like to share that the word which vibrates most closely with my sense of belief in God can be "agnostic", but still it is not the best word. Whether we are Hindus, Muslims, Christians or follow any other religions we all have our deities, varying in forms and types and as prominent figures in our mind who can locate a solution to all our problems and lead us to a path of glory. If it is so, then why things like inequality, poverty, racial abuse, chauvinism(male dominant society) are prevalent and even rampant in our society? Why are emotions like anger more dominant than love when everybody wants peace as the final verdict? Is "GOD" being biased? Or are we expecting too much of him? It is not just our beliefs but even His reputation that is at stake. But, before concluding anything, let us introspect ourselves and the morals and beliefs we carry.

If we look back into history, it was man himself who carved out various forms and notions of God. Everything what seems real, to what can be assumed extraordinary is nothing but a fine creation of man's thinking. In a way, man can be considered no less superior to God or can be considered to be "the ultimate God". The whole concept of god was created so as to develop a system (in which you are always under the vigil of someone superior), then it was imbued with an identity to make it closer to the conscience of humans and as a result an imbroglio was created. A situation so complex that those who believed in Him started fearing Him and those who doubted Him started misinterpreting it. It may be a controversial topic, but those who believe in God, also have a hidden sense of doubt in his capabilities.Though it may be funny, but we doubt his capabilities so much that even while addressing a problem we actually dictate the kind of solution we require. We lay down our terms and conditions saying "God! Please do it the way I asked you to do (else you can end up making blunder (pun intended)..:)). If there is a single entity who is being followed by most of them in the universe then how is it that some of them reap out the benefits while the rest of them end up in nothing more than sheer negativity. This is the point where I challenge the whole notion and concept we have created. If everybody wants to be the benefactor of privileges, the first thing that is required is opening up your mind to the path of enlightenment. I am not talking of becoming a "Sanyasi". It just begins when you start giving importance even to the smallest things in life.

Then what actually is "GOD"? If you really want to analyse god try to sense your "Breath"- your sole reason of existence. With every breath, you are actually adding a moment to your life which shapes your conscious thinking. As we are the masters of which thoughts we decide to intake, the feeling of 'total joy' is totally within our control. The whole irony hidden here is that, even though God is with us all times, we are trying to search him at different places, and even then we end up being incomplete. 'GOD' is a feeling of completeness, a feeling of complacency in what we have, and self confidence in our abilities to achieve anything. When you start worshiping(believing) yourself and your abilities, that is when you move closer to enlightenment and inner peace!

Simply rejoice at the happiness all around and be your own 'GOD'

  3. you really started your post with an age old topic that continues to perplex everyone even today. I really hope you are able to keep adding to this blog every day and if not that then every week. I'd like to see your perspective regarding the current protests in india and what kind of solution is going to present itself/if at all. Congratulations, and waiting for more posts.

As far as this post is concerned, you correctly pointed out that the solutions that God offers are probably the best but in our Ego we forget to place it as such, but don't you think that the social concept of God rather than the personal God has done more harm than good. I am talking about organized religion.

  4. Yes it is an age old topic, but is still relevant in today's time. I agree with your view, when u say that- "those who believe in God, also have a hidden sense of doubt in his capabilities." Nice point Pandey! but haan ek aur baat h.. I think God was given birth by humans, so that they have someone to blame for their actions. Even if u thank him for something good, its coz u think that watever u have got is not just because of ur actions but some divine intervention! And then a concept of LUCK also comes in between.
And religion for some people is like a rule book. I just finished reading a book based in Iran . It mentioned about some sections of the Quran. I was amazed to know how diligently people there follow each n every direction about prayers n all. The people are God-Fearing!
